Pastor Jay and his wife have been married for 12 years and for the past 11 years have served in ministry. Jay served as the Youth Pastor and Associate at New Life Church in Springfield, Missouri. Both grew up in small towns in rural Kansas (Iola) and Nebraska (Holdrege). They met at church while attending different local universities in Springfield, Missouri. Jay received his Bachelor’s in Religious Studies at Missouri State University where he was active in Chi Alpha – a campus ministry that united Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic and Assemblies of God students around the mission of reconciling the university for Christ. Also, Jay completed his Masters at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Candace received her Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Psychology at Evangel University. Candace is now a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. They are the proud parents of their son, Jackson and daughter Haven. Pastor Jay is an avid Kansas Jayhawks fan and has a goal of being a published writer someday. While Candace loves spending time with her kids and tries to balance things out by rooting for her beloved Huskers. They both love going to the movies. Most of all, they love each other, their kids, and the opportunity to serve Omaha!
